JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT – Traineeship

The trainee will provide support to the Head of Finance along the traineeship period.

This include helping in:

- general accounting

- day-to-day operational aspects of the finance function

- other ad-hoc duties/project work as required

The ideal profile:

- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or similar by experience

- Good knowledge of English and fluency in Italian

- Great computer skills

- Good sense for numbers and enjoy working closely together with a strong team spirit, which places demands on your interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizing abilities

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude

- Great attention to detail

- Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively

- You are social and like to learn new things

Contract: Traineeship - No Staff meals provided

 
Location: Dublin 2 - Ireland

Start date: June 2018

Activities:

The trainee will provide support to the Head of Finance and the Senior Accountant along the traineeship period.

This include helping in:

- general accounting

- day-to-day operational aspects of the finance function

- other ad-hoc duties/project work as required

In particular:

- Process bank statements and match to suppliers

- Reconcile cash and transit accounts

- Process AP bills

- AP accounting

- AR accounting

- Bank reconciliations

- Fixed assets

- Prepare with monthly closing

- Prepare with yearly closing

- Post and process entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

- Update accounts receivable

- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

- Assist operational teams

- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings (VAT, etc)

- Assist with other accounting projects

Contract type: Traineeship

Time: Full Time

Term: Fixed Term (at least 6 months)

Mentoring Support: Individual. Mentoring support by a senior accountant aimed at promoting knowledge and understanding of the contents of the technical training

Training duration: On the job - Training duration 60 hours - 10 days

Integration Programme:

The integration programme (during the early weeks of work integration) is aimed at improving the recruited candidate's skills, competence and adaptability to a "foreign working environment". This can also have a positive impact on the productivity and competitiveness of the organization.

The programme consists of the following learning components:

Induction training: in-company training and on-the job coaching for the benefit of the trainee, for instance:

– to make him/her familiar with the objectives and values of the enterprise;

– to gain specific skills and competences;

– to raise awareness of business or managerial procedures necessary to accomplish job activities;

– to become familiar with the scope and structure of the business (e.g. contacts with customers, etc.);

– to fulfil any other training need(s).

Administrative support and settlement facilitation

It consists in providing resettlement assistance for the newly recruited candidate to facilitate his/her integration in the new country e.g. support to find suitable and affordable accommodation or housing, residence registration, etc.
